TIM advances cloud ambitions with Noovle acquisition

    -

Telecom Italia (TIM) has signed an agreement to acquire ICT services provider Noovle, one of Google Cloud’s main partners in Italy.

TIM says the move will help it expand its public, private and hybrid cloud offerings and edge computing services. It will also support the group to enhance “service skills to accelerate business digitalisation” for small and medium-sized enterprises, large industry, healthcare and public administrations.

Milan-based Noovle specialises in solutions related to virtual IT infrastructures, remote working, customer experience and artificial intelligence. The company also works as a technology integrator for the development of cloud-based solutions to digitise businesses and organisations. Over a hundred of its employees are certified in the development of web and mobile applications based on the Google Cloud.

    Acceleration

TIM said it has been working with Noovle during the COVID-19 pandemic to offer business continuity support to companies and public bodies.

“We are happy to welcome Noovle into TIM’s Group. As the reference partner of Google Cloud in Italy, it will allow us to complete our expertise in this sector”, said Carlo D’Asaro Biondo, TIM Executive Vice President – Cloud Project.

He added, “With the synergies it will bring, we expect a significant acceleration on the supply front and strengthening of our position on the market. In welcoming Noovle’s professionals, I reflect on the ambitions of TIM’s Cloud project and look forward to the path we are going to take together”.

Paolo Vannuzzi, Noovle’s CEO, commented, “Noovle has always developed digital transformation projects by accompanying institutions and companies on their evolutionary path to connected and interoperable supply chains. We are proud to be part of such a wide-ranging innovative project”.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
