Proximus and Alcatel-Lucent will work together on small cells and Wi-Fi technology as part of an effort to boost in-house connectivity for Belgian customers.
The Belgian operator is seeking to provide faster access speeds to its customers and is looking to mobile and fixed connectivity through its partnership with Alcatel-Lucent.

The companies said they aim to develop a “new Wi-Fi user experience”, which includes improved self-service capabilities on Proximus’ MyProximus app, as well as better mobile device management.
Proximus and Alcatel-Lucent will also look at how small cells can be used to maximise network capacity and coverage for users and deliver reliable internet access, regardless of a user’s location or the device being used.
