DT extends cloud services in central and eastern Europe with Microsoft

    -

The plan is to provide “highly standardised” cloud services for the Microsoft Azure public platform.

This includes offering Dynamics 365 and Office 365 services across nine countries.

They are Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.

DT will make the resources available across the board, as required, in a mixture of on- and off-site.

The companies say this is the next step in their strategic partnership they announced last year.

    Digital transformation

DT’s goal is to provide cloud services as an accelerator for digital transformation in the region.

It claims the automated services will enable cloud adoption within minutes, saving customers between 30-50% in IT operations costs, compared to on-premise solutions.

“In combination with our new standardized services we will enable our customers to leverage the potential of the Microsoft cloud in a much simpler and faster way,” explained Ralf Nejedl, SVP, B2B at Deutsche Telekom, Board Area Europe.

    Assessment and security

The service includes an assessment of the current state of a customer’s IT migration to the cloud and managed services. DT complements Microsoft’s products with its own security packages.

“The partnership with Deutsche Telekom is part of our commitment to the region.

“Rich partner ecosystems and building cloud expertise are the best answer to overwhelming demand for digital transformation we see across the market,” said Philippe Rogge, President, Microsoft Central and Eastern Europe.
