US-based equipment and software testing firm Keysight Technologies is to acquire UK firm Anite for £388 million (€542 million) in an effort to expand its wireless R&D and testing activities.
Anite, which supplies wireless testing and measurement software, will be absorbed by Keysight’s Dutch subsidiary as the latter looks to widen its market.
The UK company offers testing solutions for global suppliers of chipsets, mobile devices and network equipment, serving a range of vendors, MNOs and independent equipment testing firms.
The company has an ongoing deal with Deutsche Telekom, under which it supplies interoperability testing solutions for mobile devices.
In April, Anite put forward a proposal for the world’s first 5G radio channel models.
Keysight said the cash acquisition had been “unanimously recommended” by Anite’s board of directors. The transaction is expected to close by November this year.
