    Mobile Europe launches annual survey

    -

Mobile Europe is looking for your views on the most exciting and most overhyped technologies of the past 12 months and year ahead as part of its annual survey.

The telecoms industry has been hard at work laying the foundations for future IoT networks, revamping their network infrastructure through virtualisation and LTE-Advanced, and setting the groundwork for 5G.

Our 2016 survey explores what has had the biggest impact during the past 12 months, whether it’s seemingly endless data usage, demands for even higher speeds, privacy or network coverage requirements.

It also looks at what readers think will be the most prioritised tech during the next 12 months, from VoLTE to SDN/NFV, NB-IoT to LTE-Advanced Pro.

5G is never too far from the forefront of the industry’s mind but what do our readers see as the biggest challenge? Will lack of standardisation hold things up in Europe, or Asia and America being first?

You can find these questions and more in the below survey. The results will be published in the December/January issue of Mobile Europe, which will be published next month.

Mobile Europe Editor Graeme Neill said: “2016 was no different to previous years in being chock full of technology developments, from LTE and Wi-Fi through to the exciting worlds of 5G and the Internet of Things.

“But just because technology is promising doesn’t mean it will follow through with results. We want to hear from you about what you are excited about and what you feel is more hot air than game changing.”
